MY APPROACH
I’m Greg, a Frederick, Maryland–based potter creating modern, functional stoneware for everyday life. Since 2021, my focus has been simple: to make thoughtful objects that feel as good in the hand as they look in the home.IN THE STUDIO
Each piece begins with stoneware clay and is shaped with comfort, balance, and durability in mind. Working in small batches allows me to give careful attention to form, glaze, and the small details that turn daily routines into meaningful rituals.My work centers on functional wares including mugs, bowls, planters, vases, spoon rests, garlic graters, soap dishes, sponge holders, platters, cake stands, iced coffee cups, porcelain jewelry, and the occasional sculptural exploration. I’m drawn to warm neutrals and natural textures that create pieces that are timeless, versatile, and easy to live with.MY LIFE
FinchPot is named after Finch, my tiny but mighty chihuahua who supervises operations, monitors morale, and ensures appropriate snack distribution.Behind the scenes, I’m endlessly grateful for my husband, Tim, whose encouragement, patience, and steady belief in this journey make every piece made in the studio possible.
